A key feature of ISO 45001 will be the enhanced strategic role that leaders and top management will have to take in order to achieve accreditation. They will have to be involved and demonstrate their involvement in setting goals for the organisation. Those goals will have to be achievable with clear targets to show leadership commitment.
Top management are increasingly held to account by legislation for their corporate failings.
