The Meaning of "Context" in ISO 45001

Context in ISO 45001 is a new concept for Occupational Health and Safety Management systems. The relevant definition is ’Interested Parties’, rather than ’Stakeholders’. To fulfill this requirement the organisation must determine the external and internal issues that are relevant to its purpose and objectives, and which could affect its ability to achieve the intended outcomes of its OH&S management system. The organisation has to determine and define the interested parties who are relevant to its OH&S management system together with the pertinent concerns of these groups.
